The American Aid Foundation is a Humanitarian Aid & Disaster Relief organization founded by Frank Slove who put together a Board of Directors whom each have decades worth of Volunteer and Philanthropic experience to better enable the Foundation to achieve it's goals. The Foundation feels it's programs fill the cracks that are not currently being addressed by governmental agencies or other relief/aid organizations.

United States Agency for International Development was created in 1961 by John F. Kennedy (right after the termination of the Marshall's plan).

It is one of the governmental organizations (there are not so many of them).

GHA organization is a sound leader in research, analysis and reporting on the current situation with resources for humanitarian assistance. They work hard to provide reliable transparent information by the means of not only annual research projects, but also professional reports, statistical data and country profiles. Their team includes several full-time authors, but they also recruit volunteers worldwide to deliver a coherent illustration of financial distribution worldwide. They started publishing their reports since 2000.

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945 after the Second World War by 51 countries. Initially it commited itself to peacekeeping activities, humanitarian assistance, maintaining the world secirity and provision of the rule of law. 

Their rigorous activity encompasses every corner of the globe and today they also deal with environmental issues, containment of terrorism and disaster relief.

The organization itself delivers its views through the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council and other bodies and committees.

American Red Cross

History

 

The ICRC, established in 1863, works worldwide to provide humanitarian help for people affected by conflict and armed violence and to promote the laws that protect victims of war. The ICRC is present in more than 80 countries in such regions as: Africa, Americas, Asia & Pacific, Europe & Central Asia, Middle East.

 

Structure

 

The ICRC is governed by an Assembly, an Assembly Council (a subsidiary body with certain delegated powers) and a Directorate (the executive body). Both the Assembly, with up to 25 co-opted members of Swiss nationality, and the Assembly Council are chaired by Peter Maurer, who has been President of the ICRC since 1 July 2012. He is assisted by a Vice-President, Christine Beerli.

 

The Directorate, with five members, is chaired by the Director-General, Mr. Yves Daccord.
